General Manager, Moonlight Basin

Mike Wilcynski serves as the General Manager of Moonlight Basin, where he plays a critical leadership role in shaping the culture, operations, and vision of Moonlight Basin. With more than two decades of experience in Big Sky and over 20 years dedicated to Moonlight Basin, Mike has helped guide the evolution of the community from its early days to its current standing as a premier destination for both residents and visitors.

During his tenure, Mike led the development of the acclaimed Reserve golf course and its accompanying membership program. He has overseen all aspects of club operations, and now focuses on the strategic and day-to-day management of the Moonlight community. His work is deeply centered on building and sustaining the culture of Moonlight Basin, enhancing guest and member experience, and developing world-class amenities that align with the natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle of the region.

Mike is an avid outdoor enthusiast, passionate about skiing (both alpine and Nordic), mountain biking, trail running, and hunting—activities that reflect his deep connection to the Montana landscape and lifestyle. He is also an engaged member of the broader Big Sky community, currently serving on the board of the Big Sky County Water and Sewer District. A graduate of Montana State University, Mike has chosen to make Big Sky his long-term home, drawn not only by the professional opportunities, but by the chance to live, work, and raise a family in a place defined by nature, adventure, and community.
